@@LateralNW I am working with the dealer. They were very good at trying to troubleshoot via online chat but nothing worked so they issued an RMA. The cam is on its way to them for testing and possible replacement.

Not officially released yet (11-June-24). This firmware is beta which is still being tested. Once they sort out the features and fine tuning, Viofo will place it on their website for everyone. Thanks for the question.

Check time stamp 19:25. 3Mins is Max display. Viofo do update their software so future updates might be changed.

Update:23 May 2024. Viofo has released a beta release of firmware that does allow control of the interior camera. Eventually this firmware will be released in their official web site. In the current release of the firmware there isn't the option to turn off the interior camera however it is very easy to unplug the earphone type plug and the camera will adjust to the new configuration. The latest Viofo app update for ios means you no longer need to turn off LTE/4G to view live view from the dash cam. Viofo said they would fix it and they have. Great to see they listen to their customers.

How to update it ?

A new hardware kit has been released for the VS1 called Type-C Hk5 Hardwire Kit For Vs1 Dash Camera that I have not been supplied. This New kit is designed to cut the power off at the predefined Voltage.

Thanks for the comment. I agree it looks a bit too sharp. (Detail or Sharpness). There is currently no option to alter this in the App. I expect it will be address in a firmware release. Viofo updates their firmware often so I expect in a future release they will improve this. Please note this unit is a pre-release model. Cheers.

So sorry to hear that you are not really satisfied with A229 Pro. 1. The rear port on the camera can also be used as a power port, so you can also take it home to connect the camera to your PC. 2. Yes, the rear cables are not thin as coaxial cables. But it will increase the cost if the coaxial cables are used because they need individual chips to support. 3. The A229 Pro is real 4K camera with screen, it will need more power consumoption and time to turn on completely. 4.Before sticking the static stickers, you'd better clean the windshield with an alcohol cloth to guarantee there is no dirt on it. Then it can be stuck tightly enough.

Voice commands are working only with your stereo off, if you have stereo on and listen some music it will be almost impossible to use voice commands. >>>>>> That is true with everything not only the cam...Try using your phone. It's the same thing......

@@ViofoDashcamOfficial There is NO rear port on the camera as you mentioned. The only power port is on the GPS.

The rear camera port doubles as the power connector. This is useful when you need to power the dashcam at your computer.

I agree. You may missed that is also has 12V setting. They have since released other hardwire units.

0:46 have a closer look and you'll find it is actually the Mic button. This was to help Viofo identify a glitch in the software. Later for comparison I also press the wifi button which is the correct button usually pressed. Thanks for your comment.

A hard wire installation video for the Vantrue Nexus 5 is coming. Is there anything special about having to be for a Silverado?

What am I doing wrong. I have the little green indicator light on the n5 front screen and rear screen camera but within 1 min of driving I can’t see nothing on the screen. If I push the orange on button on the left side where the sd card goes it powers up and then 1-2 mins later it goes back to the black screen. I’ve hard wired it in via the fuse box under the steering wheel of my Skoda Fabia mk3

Check your hardwired kit is wired correctly. Some circuits in the car may power down once the car is running. Every car is different and so is the hardwire kits.

There is an option to use a suction cup instead of the tape method. The suction cup includes the GPS module. Check their web site vantrue.net

Thanks for your input. You raise a good point. Note one dash cam doesn't flicker but they are from the same manufacturer and both are set with the same settings. The firmware on the T130 was in final release stage and was not being sold at that point. The problem was reduced with later versions of firmware.

You forgot I'm only human:). It has a little thing that set over the top where you put the butter in. It has a little handle so it seemed (at the time) that once the butter melted you just tip it onto the corn before they started popping lol. We live, and some of us learn. 😇

@@user-xi1to4ph6s my example was on the Viofo A129 Duo. Since then they updated the camera to a "2k " version. Check a web site called dashcamtalk.com for general info and results from others testing these and other brands off dash cams.

Different design ie Cylinder shape first of its kind for Viofo. This is a 3 camera Dashcam that hasn't been released yet. 1440 res front cam, interior 1080 with Infrared LEDs suitable for Uber etc, and rear camera also 1080. Similar unit by Viofo is the A139. I believe this will have a lower purchase price then the A139 but not confirmed.

The T130 hasn't been released yet. I believe the T139 will still be sold.

@@randomfootages9120 I have tested other devices for Viofo and they invited me to test this model. They supply it without any strings attached. What they do want is feedback while the unit is being used in real world situations. You can apply on their website to be considered for testing their equipment. Not everyone is selected however.

Yes and no. During the day it requires an Infrared filter be applied across the lens and at night the removal. If its not removed then no IR light will shine in the cabin.

You can remove the pink by placing an infrared filter over the lens. However at night the cabin will not be lit correctly as the filter blocks the infrared lights that are on. So doing the day use an IR filter and at night remove it.

Gary Kwan Yes it is. Video posted is a beta of the Viofo A129 Duo IR being tested in various situation. The purpose of this unit is for internal cabin viewing for Uber etc. The dash cam has just been released May 2019.
